Septura Brass Septet aims to re-cast the brass ensemble as a serious artistic medium by creating a canon of transcriptions, arrangements, and new commissions for this brand new classical configuration. Currently Ensemble in Residence at the Royal Academy of Music, the group is recording a series of discs, each focused on a particular period, genre, and set of composers, creating a “counter-factual history” of brass chamber music. Under the direction of Silvia Lozano, Ballet Folclórico Nacional de México is dedicated to spreading, preserving, and promoting the culture of Mexico at home and abroad. Since 1960, it has collaborated with outstanding researchers and specialists of folklore, dance, music, and costumes typical of the different regions of the Mexican republic. Lozano has committed herself to preserving originality and authenticity, presenting scenic dance paintings that preserve the symbols and meaning of centuries of tradition and history, to show people around…
