Students and home schoolers in grades 2-6 explore how Indians once lived in the Fort Hunter/Harrisburg area. Students will explore a wigwam, do hands on Activities and participate in games. Guided tours of Fort Hunter Mansion invite students to learn about Mansion life in the 1800s, comparing the owner's life to the lives of the Native Americans. Pre-registration is required. View the handiwork of local needle art designers exhibited in the rooms of Fort Hunter Mansion. Participating guilds include Susquehanna and Nittany Valley Chapters. The needle works will be on display from May 3 through June 14 and can be viewed on a tour of the Mansion during museum hours, regular admission charged. Group discounts are available and can be arranged by calling 717-599-5751. Adults $7.00; Senior Citizens $6.00; Students $4.00. Mansion is closed on Mondays. Sunday hours are Noon…

Celebrate Spring! Visitors can browse through plant sales and craft tents, choosing among over forty vendors. Enjoy the Needle Arts Exhibit at the Mansion - admission charged. For the public's pleasure, tasty food is available at the Cafe'; an art show and sale are also offered. Mid-1800s dancing, exhibits on Victorian daily life, garden chats, children's activities, as well as cakewalks to live music roundout the day.
