Ejecta Projects is excited to present "Panoramas," a two-person exhibition featuring paintings, drawings and collages by Ann Tarantino and Paul Manlove. Although they work in different media with divergent approaches to abstraction and representation, Tarantino and Manlove both depict urban landscapes and the built environment from aerial perspectives. In "As Above So Below," painter Robert Zurer depicts distorted bodies in surreal landscapes and suggests narratives that are whimsical, spiritual, and macabre. In addition to finding influence in early 20th-century mystical teachings, Zurer alludes to the enigmatic creatures of Hieronymous Bosch’s "Garden of Earthly Delights," the elusive symbolism in the poetry and painting of William Blake, and the poignant lyricism of popular music.
