Sierra Club invites public to Zoom talk on making backyards environmentally friendly to wildlife

April 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Members of the Sierra Club-Lancaster Group invite the public to join them for a free Zoom presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, that will focus on the importance of making backyards environmentally friendly to wildlife.

The speaker will be Linda Ferich, a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist and certified Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional. Her talk will be based on the Community Wildlife Habitat Initiative of the Lancaster Conservancy (LC), a partnership with the National Wildlife Federation, that she launched in 2017.

Ferich, who enjoys studying native plants and designing ecological gardens, also is co-coordinator of LC’s Water Quality Volunteer Coalition for the Lancaster County Conservation District. Before becoming fully involved with environmental matters, she had a long and successful career in emergency and occupational health nursing.

To sign up for the virtual presentation, visit www.lancastersierraclub.org and click on the calendar link.
