Pappus House to Host Kelley Scott: Expert on End-of Life Care

Pappus House, York County’s first community home for end-of-life care, will be sponsoring Coming Together – Creating A Community Option for End-of-Life Care. This free community event on Thursday, November 8 will feature end-of-life educator Kelley Scott and will spotlight new options for caring for the dying and their families.
The public is invited to this event, which will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Verandah Room at the York Expo Center. WGAL News 8 anchor Lori Burkholder will serve as the emcee. Members of the community will also have an opportunity to learn more about the work of Pappus House in York.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Attendees are asked to visit www.pappushouse.org to pre-register or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by November 1. Donations will be accepted at the door.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Kelley Scott, RN, BSN, CHPN, is the founder and executive director of Clarehouse, the first-of-its-kind hospice center in Oklahoma, designed to provide a loving, caring home for dying people in need. She serves as the President of the Omega Home Network and provides consulting and mentoring to aspiring social model hospices. She is a frequent speaker in end-of-life education as well as non-profit start-up and development.
This event is presented in collaboration with the Health York County Coalition.
Pappus House is a non-profit charitable organization created to establish York’s first hospice home. The group’s mission is to provide a home in York County dedicated to compassionate end-of-life care for individuals and their families in collaboration with their hospice provider.
