HERE TOWN is a multi-media installation that takes place in the storefront of the Carlisle Theater. Split across two windows, the piece is made up of found objects and screens which show textual narration as well as people and places from around Carlisle, PA. Inspired by Act 3 of Our Town—the dreamlike conclusion to that American Classic—HERE TOWN dramatizes the passage of time and the complex relationship between narration and perception. Made during the pandemic, this assemblage reflects Valley Traction’s continued effort to provide innovative theater that safely preserves the social aspects of performance.
