Balancing Development and Pro

April 20, 2018

Free to Lancaster County Residents

Balancing development and our historic resources and farmland may not be a new problem, but is an ever-present and growing challenge for municipalities across the state. This workshop brings together developers, local planners, historic preservation advocates, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations to discuss how to recognize the need for development and at the same time recognize the need for maintaining a sense of place.

Join us at Ryder Hall with registration beginning at 8:30 AM. Light refreshments will be provided. There will be a break for lunch and enough time to go out. An exciting panel of speakers will provide useful takeaways whether you work for a municipality or are interested in assisting your municipality in providing more meaningful preservation efforts.

This workshop is being funded, in part, by mitigation funds provided to Preservation Pennsylvania as a result of The Shoppes at Belmont project in Manheim Township.

This workshop is free for Lancaster County residents.
